What Is Trial Cage?
Trial Cage is not only for high-power players. It is one of the best events for beginner, baby, farm, and F2P accounts to collect important growth rewards.
- Gear
- Magnets
- Parts
- Resources
Main rule: Cage rewards depend more on damage than raw account power.
Do not chase rank first. Chase better setup, better damage, and better rewards.
1. Occupy a Seat First
Before opening rallies, occupy an available Cage seat when possible.
The seat bonus gives +10% ATK against Imprisoned Scarlet Butcher.
This is free damage. Even small accounts benefit from it.
2. Best Beginner Troop Setup
Recommended formations:
- 60,000 Shooters + 10,000 Bombers
- Full Shooter
Avoid:
- Shield-heavy formations
- Random troop mixes
- Unprepared presets
Simple setup gives better rally filling and better damage consistency.
3. Hero Slot Rule
For rally joiners, the first hero is the most important because the first hero skill has the strongest impact.
Use heroes that give:
- Damage
- Attack
- Lethality
- Rally offense
Avoid heroes focused mainly on:
- Defense
- HP
- Survival
- Shield protection
First slot wins damage.
4. Rally Skills: Do Not Waste Slots
Your rally has limited active skills. For Cage, every useful skill should help increase damage.
Best priority:
- Damage
- Attack
- Lethality
- Rally Offense
Avoid:
- DEF skills
- HP skills
- Survival skills
Cage is a damage event, not a survival event.
5. Power Armor Setup
For F2P and beginner accounts, do not spread everything across many builds. Choose one offensive direction.
Recommended: Shooter-type power armor.
Core priority:
- Shooter Lethality
- Shooter Attack
- Rally Damage
Avoid balanced defensive builds for Cage.
6. Yard and Felons
Before Cage starts, prepare your yard and felons.
Priority:
- Attack
- Lethality
Lower value for Cage:
- Defense
- HP
7. Use Prison Buffs
Before entering Cage, activate useful prison buffs.
Recommended:
- Troops ATK
- Expedition Capacity, if needed
Avoid using buffs that do not help your damage result.
8. Simple Alliance Flow
Best beginner-friendly strategy:
- Occupy seats first.
- Strong players open rallies.
- Lower-power players join strong rallies first.
- Fill rallies quickly.
- Avoid everyone opening rallies at the same time.
Organization gives better rewards than random power.
9. Common Mistakes
- Joining with the wrong first hero
- Using defensive heroes
- Using random troop mixes
- Opening weak rallies without coordination
- Forgetting buffs
- Ignoring seat bonuses
- Copying whales without understanding the setup
Final Rule
Do not compare yourself to whales. Track your own progress.
- Higher damage than last Cage
- Better formation
- Better hero slot
- Better rewards
If your damage improves, you are winning.
